Previous Care Home Chef Experience
This is essential.
Applicants should already be confident working within a care home, nursing home or residential-care catering environment.
You should understand that care-home catering involves much more than preparing good food. Resident safety, specialist diets, allergens, nutrition, texture modification and accurate communication all form part of the role.
Your Own Reliable Transport
Applicants must have their own reliable transport and be able to travel independently to assignments.
Agency work can involve different care homes and varying shift times, so reliable transport is essential for the Warrington and Cheshire opportunities for which we are currently recruiting.
Current Enhanced DBS
Applicants should hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate, subject to ASL Catering Agency’s normal recruitment and compliance checks.
Right to Work in the UK
All applicants must have the appropriate right to work in the United Kingdom and complete the required checks as part of the recruitment process.

Care homes rely heavily upon their catering teams.

Essential Care Home Catering Training
In addition to genuine care-home catering experience, we are looking for chefs who have completed appropriate training in three particularly important areas:

✔ Dysphagia Awareness & IDDSI Training
